when we hand in our petition to the CPS in London requesting a Full and Thorough investigation of Amicus Horizon 3 Disabled supporters will hand in their medication along with the petition and they will begin a hunger strike.
Amicus Horizons days of bullying and persecution are over because the CPS might not pay any attention to us on the 23rd but what about at week 3... or week 6... by then how many of us will have joined in?
Are they really going to allow people to starve rather than prosecute a company that uses criminal policies to harass vulnerable people.
We Will NOT Give in to these people any longer.
Hastings council... We want to know the reason you have allowed all of this to happen... We want the CPS to order a Full and Thorough investigation into why you have ignored such blatant misconduct from a company that serves as a Public Functioning body?
Lets have your bank accounts probed for a change!
Why did Amicus Horizon turn down the opportunity to accept mediation?
Why did they refuse Amber Rudd MP as mediator?

hi Graeme our cause is one and the same. I was wanting to suggest, could you find a few volunteers to set up a form of a hot line for individuals across the country to report bad practice by housing providers to both give support and gauge ...the level of bad practice. I have no doub't many people are afraid to speak out and our don't have anyone to speak out too. it would be great if you had a facebook page for people to share experiences and to support each other, I habe just started crying Graeme typing this. The Governments attitude is preventing me escaping my housing situation only moving to a new area will do for me. but having long term health problems mean I am stigmatised for having benefit's paid. to get new housing you need to have a job to go to that is if there are job's and housing to go to. I'm not living here just only just exhisting. I can't be the only one. The Government need a RADICAL RETHINK, TO SAVE VULNERABLE PEOPLE WHO ARE THE VICTIM'S OF BAD COUNCILS AND HOUSING PROVIDERS.

We will get the site updated properly tomorrow night after the demonstration because we are very busy now doing last minute arrangements and finding accommodation for people who have arrived early. It is not just in Hastings that people find our problems shocking or important we have people with us today in support of our cause from Gateshead-Liverpool-London-Nottingham-Chichester-Littlehampton-Brighton and Sunderland.
This is the first time that any of us have ever staged a demonstration and we have devoted every minute of our time and every penny we could spare to organising it and making it a success so we hope that you all have a great day and get your voice heard as well.
This event will have a dramatic and lasting effect on the way that we are all treated in the future by Amicus Horizon and other social landlords, they will probably steer clear of mentioning it as they always do with complaints but it is already changing the way that they do things and they still will have to explain themselves because we will be presenting our petition to the Criminal Prosecution Service on the 23rd August and the hunger strikers are set to begin their protest.
We will be picketing as many Amicus Horizon offices as we can monday to friday and it is likely that we will soon have enough volunteers to place permanent pickets outside Hastings Town Hall, so if you have any time to spare and would like to offer your support Click Here

Hastings Council and Amicus Horizon may continue to say that they are unaware of the terrible problems that are being caused by the criminal behaviour of Amicus Horizon staff in particular towards disabled tenants but several thousand people witnessed them being told today and we now have SEVERAL ex Amicus Horizon staff amongst our supporters and a very long list of new complaints against the and AS USUAL against the same bullying staff members.
Are Hastings council really going to continue to be silent while our Disabled Members stage a hunger strike?

We would like to give a very big and sincere thank you to Hastings police who supervised our protest today. This was the first time that anybody here had ever staged a demonstration before and because so many were disabled or elderly we were extremely concerned for everyones safety but our police once again proved what a superb town Hastings is and because of them we were able to deliver our complaints safely and it was actually a great day for all who attended and we made many friends from the crowds. We have many hours of video footage and hundreds of photographs, I have put up a few pictures now but it will probably take a week to sort through them all and edit our video and song footage but they will all go up as quickly as we can do it.
Graeme and Marisha were quite poorly at the end but they will be fine in a few days and then we can get back up to speed.
We do not intend to stage any more demonstrations against Amicus Horizon in Hastings because we have made our point here, but there is already a demand for an even bigger demonstration in Sittingbourne and Croydon.
We will deliver our petition Over 500 Names! to the CPS in London on the 23rd of August and we will begin picketing Amicus Horizon offices in Hastings - Croydon - Sittingbourne from that day onwards unless they change their policies and control their staff.

Sue and others are still mailing Amicus Horizon and getting the usual reply within 10 days message and then when no reply comes writing again and getting the same message. Thats how it is with tenants :-) Keep it up please.
Our hunger strike began yesterday, theres nothing worth saying about it until they realise it is for real. We will not stop until Hastings council take control of this crooked landlord and we are going to appear regularly outside the Town Hall and various Amicus Horizon Offices.

I have come to the conclusion over the past couple of years that although we all end up writing to M.P`s there really is no point to it because they deal with each case individually, probably in the name of discretion. The facts are though that cases like bad landlords they are probably dealing with many cases against the same villain so nothing is achieved, if the cases being dealt with were all linked it provides crucial evidence against rogue landlords like Amicus Horizon because it shows proof of a pattern of behaviour, it shows which members of staff are implementing illegal company policies, and most important it creates a map that leads to the origin or orders, or policies. If they did this the bad guys would get caught, is that why they don`t?
We have an appointment to see our barrister on tuesday and after that I will behave towards Amicus Horizon and Hastings council in the same way that they behave towards us and I will cease all contact with them and they can deal with him only.

Someone just cc`d this to our mailbox it is an email to the Hastings Observer.

On Monday the 16th August, while local media prevaricated over thestory of local pub The Tubman, which yet again sought to threatenthe rest of the town with its narrow viewpoint, a group of brave...beleaguered AmicusHorizon Limited tenants (formerly Ten Sixty SixHousing Association Limited), some in wheelchairs or on crutches,some children and all ordinary people, held a public demonstrationin Hastings Town centre.No one from Amicus-Horizon would come out of the Queensbury Houseoffice to explain the criminal activities of some of their staff.Although Council Leader Birch was happy to discuss The Tubman'sgarish décor with TV pundits he was nowhere top be seen when itcame to answering calls from local disabled people to come onto thestreet outside the Town Hall and hear the complaints he shouldanyway be well aware of.The Hastings Observer has far too long sat on the fence as localpower rangers have used the obscurity of AmicusHorizon's legalstatus for to engender unfair practises, which has seen many formercouncil tenants and their property contemptuously treated.1066 Housing Action, the tenants group who organised theDemonstration (and will organise more) have sufficient evidence nowto bring a Class Action against both Hastings County Court andHastings Borough Council; there is also a distinct possibility thatcriminal prosecutions will be brought against one or more Amicus-Horizon "Officers".Former MP Michael Foster has failed to respond to letters accusinghim of mal practice and it is clear him and others of the "LABOUR"group in this Borough, have conspired to the detriment ofdisadvantaged people, their homes and welfare - to purloin orotherwise launder housing. It seems this is how the Jerwood complexand other unnecessary, wastefulprojects were paid for.

Hastings observer are unlikely to print we have had too many emails from their email address in support of Amicus Horizon and especially Booker and Best Ltd, see them on our past comments page, they are the only comments that DON`T support the tenants lol

Eleni Chambers:how about contacting the police station and asking if you could email and pass on compliments to them (and include the pics)?
Paul Davidson:I told one Police officer how while at an Equality and Human Rights Comission I told them the Police saved my life this wen't down well I reminded Him we are on the same side.
Marisha B:Many thanks for the suggestion Eleni.I don't live in Hastings myself, but might be Graeme could do this,Please? I trully believe that it would be good to show them that we did really appreciate their presence. I was not very happy with having the Police there, as previous personal very bad experiences with themin Demos and outside Demos....but they were really so Supportive and very Helpful with many of us, Disabled Individuals, Kids, Elderly People...and even very sympathetic with non -people :-)
Paul Davidson:The Police were very friendly and helpful the whole time they made me feel very comfortable. they were rewarded with an extremely friendly legal and just protest. A Win Win Win Situation.
Graeme:I`ll just post these on our comments page, I don`t think they would appreciate me bothering them anymore but I was certainly grateful for them being there because I was worried incase someone got ill or run over.

As I don`t feel at my best I have not posted up latest comments lately but if you want to keep up to date check out our Facebook page theres about a 100 on our page and photo`s. People are still signing our petition, if you are thinking about signing please do it before monday because that is the day that Lisa will be presenting it to the CPS. We can still present more after that date but it might be more effective if they all go together.
Following the story in the Hastings Observer it looks more than likely that there will be another Demonstration, if that happens I will go if I am well enough but I will not be organising it.

we now get far too many comments to post here now until we get some more help, I do not have time to promote the forum yet but you are welcome to join us on Facebook if you want to keep up to date. I will continue to keep the Hunger strike page updated every night.
The more that Amicus Horizon lie the busier our sites get because the truth is most of their 28,000 tenants know them and their methods, many have experienced them first hand and if they carry on it won`t be long before all of their tenants are demanding that they STAMP IT OUT Disability discrimination is a crime and being a landlord does not make it legal, having the silent approval of a slave council does not make it legal.

I think that I will be okay to deliver our petition tomorrow but first I have to see Amicus Horizons contract manager and make sure that I am here for an interview, if any of you are willing to share your stories/papers with the press let me know and I`ll pass your details on. Prove we are telling the truth and it will get printed and if it does`nt no worries its still all got to go to our barrister anyway.
We do not want anyone picketing if the weather is bad tomorrow, you`ll just get ill and the leaflets will get soggy :-)))

We have done everything humanly possible to have our complaints properly dealt with, but Hastings council refuses to do anything at all even when those complaints include criminal behaviour. Because zero tolerance is an Amicus Horizon policy Hastings follows suit, if a child kicks a ball in the street its treated as a crime yet there is absolutely no control over Amicus Horizon at all. I have always assumed that Amicus Horizon bullied Hastings council because they were so financially powerful but maybe they don`t bully them, perhaps there are other reasons that Hastings council condone and cover up their misconduct, we will never know unless someone investigates.
If someone did investigate, these people would very likely lose their jobs, which is why no one will: David Chidwick-Steven May-Steve Madell-Darren Goodsell-Ron Grimmer-Jenny Betts-Jon Head-Debbie ?- Heidi Ralph and a few others, some of the above should be in prison but the ones who deserves to lose their jobs more than anyone else is Hastings council, so weak if they are not bullying a disabled tenant and even then if they have permission.

Our repairs are almost complete at last, its been a very long time getting where we are now, its all been such hard work. What a landlord! but now our repair issues are almost over it means that we can devote more time to yours, even Steve`s seem to be happening properly now.
The Observer say they are following my hunger strike now so hopefully that will encourage more people to report their problems. All Amicus Horizon have to do is to behave towards their tenants the same way that private landlords are forced to thats all, and if they did`nt want to do that then they should not have been given control of our housing in the first place, our house is beginning to look nice again now. About Time!
